Debora White

Debora White is an architect who loves to learn about the built environment by drawing iconic buildings. She has spent countless hours studying and drawing great architecture in person around the world. Drawing inspires and teaches her how to create beautiful, functional places for her clients.

Her ink pen drawings are of famous prototypical buildings by such renowned architects as: Richard Meier, Bernard Maybeck, Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright, William Thornton, Giuseppe Mengoni, Francesco Borromini, Andrea Palladio, Carlo Moderno, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Emperor Hadrian, as well as ancient vernacular.

Debora's architecture clients range from growing young families who need an addition to empty nesters seeking renovations so they can safely age in their own homes. She earned her Masters in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley, her BA in Cultural Geography from Clark University and is licensed to practice architecture in New York and Massachusetts. In addition to drawing for self education and for her clients' needs, she draws house portraits on commission.

Her love of Italian culture took her to Rome, Italy where she taught architectural history at Loyola University's Rome Center campus. In that role she introduced her American study abroad students to drawing as the best way to appreciate the rich layers of architecture in Rome.
